Google Wave is one of Google’s newer products introduced in 2009. Wave is a product that Google hopes will eventually replace e-mail as way of electronic communication.
Using Wave, you will be able to work collaboratively with co-workers around the world to produce RFT files, videos, photos, maps and much more.
When using a wave, any person that is a participant can send a reply anywhere in the message, make edits and add more participants anywhere during the process. There is a playback feature that allows anyone involved in the wave to rewind the message and see what others are saying in the process.
Using Google Wave is a great way to work together on group projects. It allows you to share photographs or take notes on a meeting, even if the meeting is online. This is an excellent way for groups in satellite offices to brainstorm. If you have a little down time, Google Wave even offers interactive games to fill the spare time.
The threads that were so useful in G-mail are built upon in this program as are the best features of instant messengers and other features.
Currently Google Wave is in the development stage and you can only request an invitation. It is expected to remain in development stage throughout the remainder of 2009 and be open for full release sometime in 2010.
Users can find spelling and grammar check as a part of the features of this program. Another feature is that it can instantly translate documents and waves into forty different languages, which will once again be useful to satellite offices around the world.
Watch for the full program release in the near future, but in the mean time, be sure that you take time to sign up to get an invitation from Google for a limited release version of Google Wave.
Very soon Google mail will be taken over by a new software. Google Wave is the new toy from the famous brand. Wave developers are suggesting that this tool is going to be the best mail program yet.
